Heroes of Might and Magic fan art - Dungeon faction concept
This time something interesting. A concept of Heroes faction in a potential sequel that I would be in charge of. Please keep in mind that it was drawn before announcement of Olden Era and chances of getting new game were low.
Troglodyte. I wanted to make a poisonous upgrade instead of armoured one like in Heroes 7.
My own take on Beholder/Shadow Lurker.
For a twist, I wanted to omit Assassins this time and have something new. Lore says something about dark elf skirmishers who fight in melee and my take on them uses a whip, which could likely give them ability to attack from one hex away from the enemy.
Giant worm has only appeared in Heroes as a demon unit but I thought an animal one would work with underground faction.
This time I made Shadow Witches more "caster like". To spice things up, they upgrade into Faceless, lorewise through possession ritual.
Minotaurs and more threatening armoured minotaurs. I wanted to make them fit among dark elves.
Shadow Dragon. I borrowed eyes on wings from Heroes 6 but my own twist is to also remove their eyes from the head. Upgrade has difficult to animate second head but it works with two-faced feel of Malassa.
